My projects I’ve done as a ASC member is safety walks, present safety day 1 presentations for 5+ groups of day 1’s, replace stop signs throughout the building, fixed crosswalks, looked into the double stacking in the 300’s to find out who’s doing them and why they’re doing it, gave out safety hats to OP drivers and explained why we need to wear them and the responsibility’s that come with the hats, helped safety specialist with near misses and on going investigations, performed stretches at stand up, done audits and gather information from associates or any complaints they have or ideas that can help our site out be safer.
As a pit boss I work with Raymond, plug power, and operations to safely inspect the machinery we have at our site to ensure they are safe to drive, as well as red tagged any machine that doesn’t pass our checklist or breaks down during operations. Check Iwarehouse to see what associate isn’t following standard work ethics to report to management and keep our WHSS up to date with any issues we are having with our pit.
As a PG for Stow I’m monitoring over 50 associate’s every shift helping new hires with any questions they have about stow as well as helping my PA run stow safety ensuring every Pit is following blue light to blue light, contacting safety with any near misses that are happening near the stow desk. Reminding associates to wear PPE and have their harness on right. Finding barriers associates are having out there that can help them boost their rate up, as well as finding barriers stow might be having that can help us reach our goal.
