I am responsible for looking up taxpayers online by typing in their address on this particular website. These taxpayers have filed for bankruptcy. The purpose of this duty is to see if they have a balance that needs to be paid. Next to their address will be the taxpayers name. If I find the exact taxpayers name who we are looking for and supposedly has a balance that needs to be paid, I click on them. After I click on them, I will see if they either have a balance or not. If they have a balance, I must print them out and give them to my supervisor because she might mail them to the taxpayers home address. If the taxpayers don't have a balance, I don't have to print anything out and let my supervisor know, or I can print them out for proof showing that it is the truth. Also, I am responsible for going online on another website. This website is about taxpayers involved in a case (s) and judge (s) are included in the case (s). The purpose of this duty is to see if the taxpayers case (s) are still active, if the taxpayers case (s) have been discharged, if the taxpayers case (s) have been dismissed, or if the taxpayers case (s) have been terminated. In order to find out, I must type in the taxpayers case number on the website and it will reveal if the taxpayers case is still active, if the taxpayers case have been discharged, if the taxpayers case have been dismissed, or if the taxpayers case have been terminated. For instance, if the taxpayers case have been dismissed, terminated, and/or discharged, it will have the month, date, and the year of the dismissal, termination, and discharge occurrence. Some taxpayers will have case (s) that were both discharged and terminated, dismissed and terminated, and/or discharged or dismissed only with different months, different or same dates, and maybe the same or a different year. However, if the case (s) have not been discharged, dismissed, and/or terminated, then, the case is still active. Once I find out the details, I enter the details in Excel. In Excel, the taxpayers case numbers will be included and three of the rows will be labeled as "discharged, dismissed, and terminated, at the top. For each case number, I must enter the months, dates, and years of the taxpayers case discharge, dismiss, and/or termination, under the three labels. Although, if the case (s) have not been discharged, dismissed, and/or terminated, then, I can either type N/A or Active under the three labels.
