Human Resources Specialist
Served as the NCOIC (Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge), Secretary of the General Staff (SGS) for a 3-star billet at the United States Army Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM) and Sustainment Center of Excellence (SCoE). Provided assistance to the CG, DCG, CoS, DCoS, CSM, and tenant organizations with coordinating and processing all staff actions involving CASCOM. Maintained a close working relationship; provided sound, mature advice, and recommendation to the SGS. Chief of Staff, and the Deputy Chief of Staff on complex problems or issues that were new, highly controversial, and/or precedent setting in nature. Provided advisory services essential to enable the command staff to thoughtfully plan, develop, organize, and manage day to day operation, missions, and activities. Provided administrative and logistical support to the CASCOM Command Group by coordinating, composing, preparing, editing, formatting and processing a variety of correspondence and/or documents such as letters, reports, pamphlets, certificates, forms, graphs, and technical manuals or comparable items bulletins, and directives including materials and/or matters of confidentially, received, screened, answered telephonic and personal visitors/guests. Managed all awards for over 800 civilians and military CASCOM employees, as well as Officer Evaluation Reports (OERs) and Non-Commissioned Officer Evaluations Reports (NCOERs) for CASCOM Command Group, special staff, 13 functional directorates, and eight subordinate logistics and personnel-oriented schools and commands. Developed, modified guidance and guidelines, procedures, standards to resolve complex for new and/or changing regulations, policies, and strategies for internal and external integration of day-to day and long-range projects. Issued agency-wide guidance regarding employment authorities to clarify new processes, resolve conflicting guidance, and/or to alleviate other potential or existing problems. Provided a broad range of information in order to assist in taking actions or making decisions. Maintained electronic suspense files in a database with the responsibility for tracking daily suspense and reminding action officers of due dates. Manipulated data necessary arrangements for scheduling and coordinating conferences and meetings including space, time, notifying perspectives participants. Gathered and distributed background materials and read-ahead packets for senior leader and participants. Personally answered inquiries and made referrals to non-technical requests for information regarding office functions, status of reports, suspense, and other information available from databases and files.
