• As a Team Lead/DSP the work day would be working with people who have mental disabilities and work with them on everyday goals and skills. Everyday goals and skills for example are:
• Medication-which would be observing/administering the meds, going over the names/dosages, times they are scheduled to take them and the reasoning on why they take them.
• Household skills which range from chores to laundry to dishes.
• Psychiatric skills which are proving redirection/de-escalation/coping skills. Physical/Personal Hygiene-providing reminders on bathing techniques/routines, brushing their hair and teeth, trimming facial hair, how and where to put on deodorant, etc. Nutrition Skills- assist with reading/following recipes, making a grocery list, assist with following dietary restrictions, assist with following their diet, creating meal plans.
• Money Management- assist the clients in making a monthly budget which determined how much their rent, utilities and any medical bills were for the month and also how much they would have for spending each week and how much they would have to spend for hygiene and household supplies for the month. It also determined how much they would receive for food each week.
• Social Skills- assist them to get out into the community. Assist them in coming up with plans to go out into the community. Providing coping skills.
• Transportation- staff would transport clients throughout the community- store, laundry mat, doctors appointments, friends/family visits, etc.
• As a Team Lead you also schedule and transport clients to and from their doctors appointments, take notes and follow through with doctors recommendations and communicate any changes to other staff members.
• Throughout your shift you also document what goals you worked on with the clients on a tablet through EHR.

• As a telemarketer at Thomas L. Cardella (TLC) you speak with existing internet customers and offer them a deal on a variety of different services the company offers.

• Maintaining a clean school with clean classrooms. During the school year, we go in and clean and disinfect all classrooms, offices, gyms, halls, etc everyday. We use certain chemicals and sprays, while using safety percussions. During the summer time, we strip and wax the school floors, which include use of machinery. Moving stuff out of classrooms, offices, etc which involves heavy lifting, moving, pushing of objects, use of two wheel dollies, carts, etc.
