15+ years experience, 10 years post-Masters, in clinical social work, case management, psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and suicide prevention. Significant experience providing individual and group psychotherapy and psycho-education services within Oakland, Benicia, and Fairfield-Suisun Unified School Districts. Experience in community mental health, working closely with County Behavioral Health in the provision of services to youth within the foster care system.
Experience in administering clinical and psychosocial assessments; discharge planning; transition planning; individual and group therapy; clinical program development; event planning; and providing training and consultation services to colleagues, k-12 and college students, parents, and the wider community.
Significant experience in the field of suicide prevention. Providing training on suicide prevention, assessment, intervention and safety-planning within personal capacity in personal clinical work and in the capacity of the Board Chair of the Greater San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). Providing educational programing to the greater community, school staff, and assisting with events such as the Conference on Advances in Safe Storage of Firearms and Preventive Strategies for Veterans at Risk for Suicide in February 2020. The conference was a partnership between AFSP and the San Francisco VA Health Care System.
Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences: Associate Clinical Social Worker. License eligible and waiting to hear back from the BBS to schedule the licensing exam.
