• Indian Institute of Maize Research (IIMR), Ludhiana, 09/2021-09/2022, To standardize the process of generation of DNA-free knock-out mutants in maize via RNP-mediated delivery of CRISPR/Cas9 construct targeting the leaf coloration phenotype (Zmzb gene), Screening of plants to see the phenotypic differences after genome editing by CRISPR/Cas 9., DNA amplification using PCR, and further band analysis through gel electrophoresis., Using tissue culture protocols for obtaining callus and standardizing plant Regeneration, designing guide-RNA and gene construct for the targeted delivery through Biolistics/Particle bombardment.
• School of Agricultural Biotechnology (SOAB), Ludhiana, 09/2021-05/2022, DNA-free editing of ZmMTL gene controlling haploid induction in maize, Assisted in this project and carried out work related to molecular biology (PCR) and tissue culture techniques which involves root and shoot culture, osmotic medium, N6 media culturing, and callus culturing.
