• Developed the reporting infrastructure to facilitate tracking of all ARPA-related financial and programmatic data.

• Monitored expenditures against subrecipient budgets funded through Tarrant County $209 million allocation from the Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF).
• Ensured financial compliance of municipal subrecipients of CRF grant funding with the terms of executed interlocal agreements and promulgated Treasury guidance.
• Development and implementation of the County's legislative program and associated priorities during the 87th regular session of the state legislature.
• Communicated Tarrant County's positions on state legislation to committees of the Texas House of Representatives.
• Drafted testimony to be provided to Texas House of Representatives committees by Sheriff's Office staff and other departmental staff.
• Monitored federal funding opportunities available to local governments during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As an intern, I was responsible for tracking Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) expenditures by all municipalities in Tarrant County and developing an internal process for closing out municipal accounts. I was also responsible for developing agendas for weekly meetings with audit staff on the County's CRF program. Additional duties included attending Judge Glen Whitley’s weekly legislative briefing with local elected officials during the COVID-19 pandemic and facilitating the participation of local mayors, city councilmembers, and municipal social media directors in #TarrantCounts, a day of promoting participation in the 2020 Census.

As a Congressional District Intern, I was responsible for a wide range of duties. I drafted official letters to educational institutions, civic organizations, and constituents on behalf of Congressman Veasey. For Congressman Veasey’s 7th annual job fair, I was responsible for contacting and securing the participation of nearly 80 vendors across Texas’ 33rd congressional district. Additionally, I was responsible for transcribing constituent comments on policy matters, and directing telecommunications to the appropriate staff member.
