Facilities Coordiantor

  • Scheduling - Employee will be responsible for working with the college's facility scheduling software (currently Ad Astra) to manage the various needs of people using the facilities. The employee will receive requests from employees and outside customers and will be responsible for interpretting the college's facility usage policy as to whether or not the request is allowed. The employee will help the customer determine if there are any special needs that need to be accomodated. The employee will work with the facilities department, information technology department, or janitorial if any special accomdations need to be met. The employee will field questions and work to assign a specific room that meets the customers needs or let the customer know if the college doesn't have space available at the time needed. The employee will be the first contanct for facilities questions when an emergency room is needed.
  • Fixed Assets - Employee will be responsible for monitoring physical assets on the Wytheville campus, Crossroads location, and both Marion locations. The employee will do counts monthly and alert the Business Office Accountant of any changes in asset locations. The employee will be responsible for placing equipment tags on inventory and alerting the Accountant if a possible asset is located without an inventory tag.
  • Switchboard backup - Employee will provide courteous and helpful support as a first point of contact for those on the phone when operating the WCC Switchboard. The employee will work with the main switchboard operator to ensure converage of the phones during vacations and lunch. The employee will practice excellent customer service and provide a great impression of Wytheville Community College.
  • Backup support to the Cashier and Administrative Assistant to the AVP of Finance - Employee will work with the Business Office Cashier and the Administrative Assistant to the AVP of Finance to help provide support needed to the departments. The employee will maintain access to Cashiering functions in SIS and AIS to be able to ensure deposits are done in a timely manner and when absences occur. The employee will also be a first point of contant in the AVP of Finance office when absences occur.
