Jason Alter D.M.D

Miami,FL

Summary

Highly motivated general dentist with experience providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages since August of 2016. While I have become proficient in the everyday tasks of four-handed general dentistry, I pride myself on my chair side manner as well as treating all patients with sympathy and compassion. I have been doing travel/temp dentistry since 2022 in order to be able to explore more parts of the country but I have become fond of the DMV area and would like to try a full time job again.

Experience

ONSITE DENTAL: January 2024-Present (Newport News, Virginia)

I have been working as a locum tenem for a mobile dental office that only treats employees for a major company on a shipyard. We have been providing a wide range of dental services including crowns, bridges, fillings, extractions, removable dentures as well as implant restorations.

ADVANTAGE DENTAL: January 2023-December 2023 (Sutherlin, Oregon)

I worked as a locum tenen at a medicaid office in an underserved rural area. We would usually see 20-30 patients a day with several walk in emergencies and that is where I learned to become more efficient with multi-surface restorations and extractions.

BEACH DENTAL: July 2022- December 2022 (Panama City Beach, Fl)

I worked as a locum tenen to help out an office when the owner/sole doctor suddenly had to retire due to a serious illness.

DENTAL LUXE: February 2022- July 2022 (Sebring, Fl)

I worked as a locum tenen to help out an office when owner/sole doctor broke his wrist and could no longer practice dentistry. It was in a retirement area and we mostly treated the elderly population.

BRANDON COMPLETE DENTAL CARE: September 2021-February 2022 (Brandon, Fl)

I worked part time as an associate at a high-end large group practice where I gained a lot of experience fabricating same day crowns with scanners and CAD/CAM machines.

LIFETIME SMILES DENTAL OFFICE: January 2021- September 2021 (St. Petersburg, Fl)

I worked as an associate in a family practice that focused on bread and butter dentistry for patients of all ages.

THE SMILE CENTRE: May 2018- December 2020 (Venice, Fl)

I worked as an associate at a dental office that performed basic comprehensive care but also focuses more towards higher end dentistry. This includes but not limited to surgically guided implants, orthodontics, veneers, botox and 3D CBCT imaging diagnostics.
SMILE BRIGHT DENTAL CENTERS: July 2017-April 2018 (Tampa, Fl)

I was working as an associate for a private group practice. The overwhelming majority of our demographic consisted of an elderly Hispanic population; thus, I have become more proficient communicating in basic Spanish. We performed all basic restorative and endodontic procedures but the majority of our production came from extractions and removable prosthesis.
GREAT EXPRESSIONS DENTAL CENTERS: August 2016-July 2017 (St Petersburg, Fl)

I was hired right out of dental school to take over a struggling practice that was losing money everyday, had very low patient retention and a high staff turnover rate. Within the first 2 months I was able turn the practice around to where we had consistently produced over budget, maintained the majority of new patients and kept the same staff.  I consistently saw a high volume of patients and performed a considerable amount of composite fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals including simple 1st molars, removable prosthetics, simple and surgical extractions.
