Daily 'Start of Day' routine, including disarming the school alarm, unlocking exterior doors, performing a basic security check, turning on hallway lights, and picking up any trash. Look for and fix slip hazards, such as snow, ice, puddles, and liquids, on walkways and hallway floors.
Provided repair and installation services for toilets, urinals, sinks, water fountains, hand dryers, automatic flushers, paper towel dispensers, and toilet paper dispensers. Replaced hose bibs and sprinkler heads, installed water lines, and replaced sewer lines. Performed plumbing maintenance in bathrooms, including unclogging sinks and toilets.
Performed groundskeeping services, including mowing, weedeating, planting, repairing or installing playground equipment, and minor welding.
Repaired ramps and sidewalks. Included demolition, debris removal, forming, pouring, and finishing sidewalks. Installed weed barrier, landscape rocks, and pavers.
Assembled office and classroom furniture and equipment.
Interior Sheetrock, texture, and paint. Install ceramic tile, replace hallway and classroom floor tile, and repair and install commercial-grade doors, locks, push bars, and door closures.
Replaced light switches, receptacles, GFCIs, and bulbs. Ran electrical wiring to install new light switches and receptacles.
Rewired fluorescent ballast fixtures to non-ballast LED fixtures.
Installed and maintained fire exit signs.
Replaced HVAC filters, cleaned cabinets, and set thermostats.
Security: installed Cat 5 cable and cameras, set up TV monitors, and assisted in fire, active shooter drills, and lockdowns.
Special Events: prepare and dismantle for sporting events, graduations, plays, and other school activities.
Special Projects: Converted a high school weight room into a multi-purpose lunch room. Included demolition of interior walls and lighting. Erected new interior walls, ran electrical wiring and media cabling, insulated, sheetrocked, textured, and painted walls. Framed out for window and door installation. Primed, painted, and installed new doors, trim, and molding. Installed all new receptacles, switches, lighting, and fire exit signs. Installed two commercial double exterior doors. Installed sound-dampening panels and a large television for media presentation. Completed the project well below budget and on time.
Equipment: Capable of operating forklifts, lifts, skid steers, tractors, backhoes, lawn mowers, and other landscaping equipment, loaders, dump trucks, and trailers.
