Maintenance Technician

Nestlé Waters North America
Stanwood, MI
05.2006 - 11.2021
  • At Nestlé I worked on a bottling line as a machine operator for approximately a month. A mechanic position came open and I applied, tested for, and received that maintenance position. I was a line mechanic taking breakdown calls and returning the machine back to production capability. I would work on everything from production lines to facility maintenance, to support equipment like chillers, compressors, and plant water wells. I did that job for 4 years then was promoted to maintenance technician a-level. In this role I am in charge of all aspects of maintenance on two high speed bottling lines. I do everything from basic wrench turning to analysis of breakdowns to find the root cause of that failure. I have two mechanics that work directly under me and together we keep our machines running on track with plant goals.

Maintenance Mechanic

Cadillac Casting
Cadillac, MI
04.2003 - 04.2006
  • At Cadillac Casting I worked two years as a machine operator in the core room. Those machines produced sand cores for the production of ductile iron castings. Production and safety goals were paramount and I met them consistently. A mechanic position came opened and I tested for and was awarded that position. I worked night shift where I was responsible for maintaining two pieces of production equipment. We basically rebuilt everything on those machines in an eight hour shift.

Road Construction Laborer

Bernie Johnson Trucking
