Clean Locomotive engineers (interior & exterior)

Transport supplies and materials between work area and storage site.

Perform variety of support and Clean-up activities in locomotive car repair yards and shop areas.

Sand and fuel locomotives.

Fuel Diesel Locomotives.

• Currently a B level technician/Diesel technician. Daily task includes Programming, Diagnosis, suspension work, alignments. Trouble-shoot, maintain, repair, and install mechanical components and sub-components of Diesel, Gas, and Fully Electric vehicles.

• Clean tools, equipment and parts with wire brushes, torches, and cleaning solvents.

• Responsible for grinding, boring, cutting, bending, sizing, shaping, slotting, milling, planning, sanding, fabricating, and filing of various machine and engine parts. Will operate grinders, borers, drills, sanders, lathes, and milling machinery.

•Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, shop drawings, technical manuals, and other written documentation in the completion of assigned tasks.

Inspects various engine fluids for viscosity and presence.

•Inspect, repair, maintain and install various components, subsystems, and car bodies of rolling stock equipment, including, but not limited to, airbrake, doors, glazing, seats, truck, coupler and draft gear assemblies.

Perform daily and periodic tests of air-brake systems.

• Currently a b level technician. Daily task include Programming, Diagnosis, suspension work, alignments.

• Also a Diesel technician. Perform preventative maintenance, DOT, periodical inspections and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with company protocols and standards.

Install, Repair, and replace piping systems.

Work with:

• Hoses
• Valves
• Tubing

Perform tasks like:

• Cutting, threading, and connecting pipes
• Fabricating custom pipe layouts

Install piping systems for:

• Steam
• Air
• Water systems

Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, or damage

Troubleshoot mechanical issues

Perform routine and emergency repairs on gasoline and diesel components.

Repair or replace faulty parts on passenger cars, including:

• Brake systems
• Door mechanisms
• Heating and air conditioning units
• Seating and interior fixtures

Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

Perform routine servicing to prevent breakdowns

Lubricate moving parts, adjust systems, and ensure proper operation

Follow scheduled maintenance procedures

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues

Read schematics, manuals, and work orders

Determine whether a car is safe to remain in service

• Perform pre-service and post-service inspections
• Check critical components like:
• Brakes
• Doors
• Wheels and undercarriage
• Identify defects, wear, or safety issues
