Classroom Management Communicated with parents regularly regarding positive behavior, grades, and negative behavior when necessary. Integrated research regarding intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in order to inspire learning and positive behavior. Formed positive relationships with students. Disciplined in accordance with school policy when necessary and followed through with parents and administration as needed.
Prepared specific lesson plans in accordance with assessments, curriculum, state standards and planning during PLC. Used formative lessons throughout the daily lesson in order to quickly determine gaps and student comfort with material. Used formative and summative assessments in order to remediate students when necessary. Created lessons that actively involved 70-80% of students in discussion. Planned for critical thinking in order to increase student understanding and engagement.
Other Responsibilities: 7th year as Cross Country head coach and asst. Track coach. Led Girls Cross country team to 4 district championships and 1 state championship. Led Boys Cross Country team with 2 district championships and 1 state championship.
