- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of the crane to ensure optimal performance and safety and to adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.

-Daily maintenance including changing bearings, replacing hoist, trolley, caternary and boom ropes, gantry motors and various other mechanical and electrical work as needed.

- communicate effectively daily with ground maintenance personnel to coordinate operations

- assist other employees with mechanical work on crane, including routine maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting

- collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and address mechanical issues on the crane and other related equipment

-operate controllers to move gantry crane components, including crane spreader bars, aerial lifts and overhead cranes, safely and efficiently to avoid accidents with other cranes, ships, ground vehicles and personnel

- troubleshooting electrical issues from low to high voltage 3 phase

- work at heights safely, utilizing harnesses, safety lines, and other necessary personal protection equipment (PPE)

- conduct routine inspections of crane surfaces to identify areas requiring maintenance or repainting

- apply paint using brushes, rollers and spray equipment, electric grinders, pneumatic needle scaler ensuring even coverage and adherence to safety and quality standards

- working at heights up to 185 feet on gantry cranes in a busy cargo port environment, exposed to outdoor weather conditions, to perform painting, coating and surface preparation on crane structure and components (as well as maintenance on all auxiliary equipment)

- operate company vehicles (e.g. golf carts and trucks) regularly within cargo port to transport materials, tools and personnel

- ensure vehicles are operated safely and maintained according to company guidelines

- experience in operating 185' JLG aerial lifts, 5k to 55k lb capacity forklift, scissor lifts and lull forklift
