Test Case Development

Intel
05.2013 - 09.2014

Develop software to automatically generate test cases.

At Intel, I worked as part of a small team that developed from scratch a test case generator. Where it would take hours for a person to write a test case, our tool could generate a brand new test case in seconds. My primary role was to write a plugin that would translate XML data to a valid test case that could be run by Anritsu network simulators.

My tasks at Intel:

  • Develop the test case generator that takes field traces and creates complete end-to-end test cases
  • Write from scratch a Python plugin to generate XML-based test cases
  • Troubleshoot and write software patches to the entire test case generator in tool which was written in C++, Matlab, Python, and XML
  • Execute test cases for the Intel mobile platform technologies, e.g. regression testing

Test & Integration

Nash Technologies
07.2011 - 12.2012

At Nash, I performed system and integration testing on the Small Cell network product we were developing. We worked in a continuous integration environment and used tools such as Jenkins and Jira to write and track issues.

My tasks at Nash:

  • Develop and execute test cases based on specifications and customer requirements
  • Integrate and test network protocols and technologies
  • Write and perform automated test scripts for regression testing
  • Integrate the development of software features into various hardware platforms
  • Follow a Continuous Integration strategy using tools such Jenkins for build maintenance, Jira and Trac for ticket management, and Subversion for version control

Mobile Terminal Testing

T-Mobile International
05.2001 - 12.2011

At T-Mobile, I performed mobile terminal interoperability testing on vender mobile phones, for example from Samsung and Nokia. I ensured the mobile phones passed network standards such as 3GPP as well as T-Mobile’s own standards.

My responsibilities:

  • Perform acceptance testing of mobile devices to ensure interoperability with the T-Mobile network
  • Write automated test scripts for protocol testing
  • Ensure devices satisfy T-Mobile International requirements and specifications using both manual and automated test cases
  • Test mobile devices from major device vendors
  • Write, edit, and review test cases for T-Mobile International

Member of the Scientific Staff
