As the Accounting and Tax Payment Branch Chief I provide outstanding leadership and developmental support to a staff of 43 employees located across several states.
I provide strategic oversight, coordinate daily operations and implement process adjustments as needed to sustain performance levels while meeting all organization objectives.
For example, I coordinated multiple training sessions for additional support for the Electronic Federal Payment Posting System (EFPPS) error corrections.
Payment error inventory exceeded acceptable levels due to staff shortages and required immediate action to reduce inventory levels.
I worked with the three Submission Processing (SP) Service Centers to solicit and train all qualified staff to work overtime to help reduce inventory.
My actions increased production over 10% which will establish acceptable inventory levels 2-3 weeks sooner than projected.
I supported three Submission Processing (SP) Service Centers, ten Accounts Management Centers, over 400 Field Offices, the Department of Justice and other areas with revenue balancing, deposits, payment processing, manual refunds and several other high-profile programs.

As the Lockbox Policy and Oversight Section Chief, I effectively engage and develop nine Analysts while guiding them on aspects related to the daily responsibilities of three Lockbox (LB) facilities.
I successfully engage my staff and the LB sites which results in the processing of over 38 million payments equaling over $375 billion deposited.
I advocate with the LB network, which results in them exceeding their program goals.
I support discussions on improved LB site resources during April peak, which enables the sites to increase productivity.
This resulted in the highest daily volume in LB history with over 671,000 remittances deposited on a single day.
To meet the IRA initiative 3.2. milestones, Enable Digital Communications, the Lockbox network continued to convert paper filed returns to a digital format to be processed through the Modernized e-File (MeF) program.
My leadership and guidance of the project ensured complete and accurate development of processing requirements by writing the LB Digitalization Guidelines (LDG) and addressing questions from the LB network.
Due to my leadership and guidance, the Lockbox network converted over 2.8 million paper returns to a digital format processed through MeF.
I hold regular meetings with the LB Financial Agent Leadership to discuss possible efficiency improvements, volume projections, and additional assistance the network could provide the IRS.
