A reputable long-standing garment manufacturer headquartered in Hong Kong with 2 fully-owned factories in China and a dynamic team of more than 1200 staff, which manufactures cotton knit garments for numerous leading international fashion brands since 1956.

Concurrent Roles:

• Executive Director of the Group covering sales, garment and textile manufacturing.
• CEO and Factory Manager of the textile manufacturing subsidiary (operating as Zhongshan NewBond Textiles Limited), overseeing and managing $25 million worth of assets and over 200 staff.

Zhongshan NewBond Textiles Limited:

• Promoted to CEO since 2018 and concurrently assumed the role of Factory Manager since 2019.
• Led daily operations, created weekly action plans and 15+ alternative plans annually on 8 Wastes (DOWNTIME).
• Managed projects with high-performance teams and tracking software.
• Applied economic view and systems thinking in problem solving.
• Designed and instructed trainings for Six Sigma, 7 QC Tools and accountability.
• Negotiated new annual contracts and service agreements with vendors and customers to achieve prime pricing.

Winzen Group:

• Drafted the Group's vision and value statements, and associated policies and incentive schemes for aligned decision-making, accountability and synergy development.
• Led, drove and managed the Group's sustainability initiatives and projects, including communicating with customers on these aspects.
• Analysed financial reports, investigated anomalies and developed and managed cost-saving projects.

Key Achievements:

• Reduced NewBond's breakeven point was by 37%
  compared to the best record attained by the previous five
  Factory Managers (who all are over 20 years my senior
  with extensive educational background and work
  experience in fabric dyeing).
• Reduced NewBond's manufacturing rework costs by 51%
  compared to 2018 and significantly improved product
  quality through the implementation of centralised control
  for production machines and new merit-based incentive
  structures.
• Developed a cutting-edge mathematical model integrating engineering and physics techniques for fabric dyeing which resulted in a reduction of colour shading defects from 6% in 2018 to only 0.005% in 2021.
• Architected, engineered and began implementation of the Group's water and carbon footprint optimisation project which employs the use of multi-series biological treatment that can reduce up to 70% of water and 60% of energy, and is 40% cheaper to operate than use of reverse osmosis.

• Prepared and presented design proposals to clients for various major projects cumulatively worth more than US$250 million, including design and optimization of large-scale photovoltaic power plants which can increase efficiency by 4%.
• Recommended best countries to invest in based on country scoring system using dynamic Excel VBA dashboard to compare 150 countries on numerous factors including wind and solar resources, economy, subsidies, political, energy mix, etc.
• Conducted site evaluations and preliminary feasibility studies in 7 countries: United States, Canada, Ghana, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Sri Lanka and Japan.

• Employed accurate forecasting to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Worked directly with production personnel to resolve production scheduling issues and conflicts.
• Reviewed and updated Key Performance Indicators, and designed and implemented associated systems and processes to track and monitor KPIs, and developed performance improvement plans.
• Led and managed the Group's collaboration project with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University on a production line artificial intelligence system funded by the Hong Kong Government (US$350,000).
