I was a delivery driver for a shoring company where we would deliver and pick up various construction shoring equipment to many construction sites all over the bay area and beyond. I drove a flatbed tractor trailer with a knuckle boom crane on it. It was my responsibility to operate the 60 boom crane in safe and efficient manner to drop/ pick up things like 10,000 pound steel plates and boxes and other various hydraulic shoring equipment. I was tasked with maneuvering my tractor trailer in often very tight and busy areas and dropping/ picking up our shoring equipment with our cranes while avoiding power lines and pedestrians and many other hazards. Also it was my responsibility to make sure that all of my loads were safely and correctly chained and strapped down for the weight that I was hauling.
