While working as a carmen I Worked the Road truck in Dolton IL and was responsible for rapidly responding to mainline service interruptions. worked my way up to Mechanical Car Foremen worked both Proviso yard and Dolton yard where I oversaw the day to day operations on both yard operations and ramp operations. Covered rip track on the weekends. Made sure employees were doing proper inspections when it came to FRA and AAR Defects. In 2011 i was promoted to local training Coordinator for the mechanical car dept for the Chicago service unit which at the time had 225 carmen. made sure they were in compliance with the FRA mandatory training. in 2013 i was promoted to Foremen General 1 and covered from Chicago to Clinton on the east west mainline as well as from Butler Wisconsin to woodland JCT Illinois in central Illinois. I was responsible for the parts, tools, equipment and MCS car billing system for Proviso yard and rip track.
