- Served as the field operator for three refinery units: two hydrogen production trains, a cogeneration unit, and the utilities/water treatment unit.
- Managed chemical receiving, storage, and distribution processes for water treatment systems.
- Followed written procedures for tasks ranging from preparing pumps for maintenance, to full unit startup and shutdown.
- Operated and maintained water purification equipment, including MF/RO systems, clarifiers, demineralizers, and deaerators.
- Monitored cooling towers to ensure optimal chemical balance and equipment performance.
- Coordinating with contractors and issuing permits to ensure that work can be done safely and with as few hiccups as possible.
- Maintained the refinery cogeneration unit, which includes its own cooling tower, gas turbine, and HRSG unit.
