Forward thinking, highly motivated, and enthusiastic teacher seeking to obtain a position as a Middle School Educator. Classroom and Learning

• Classroom Goals - highly trained and dedicated teacher that maintains a classroom where there are well-established procedures and routines in place where each student is given the opportunity to succeed. My goal is to reach out to each student. To learn about them and to make them comfortable in my classroom where they feel safe and enjoy coming to school .

Beyond the Classroom

• Beyond my regular classroom and Technology Lead responsibilities I have written and applied for educational grant opportunities receiving funding for technology, cameras, and video production equipment.
• Mentor teacher to school new hires. PLC lead.
• Member of North State Cue. Served as a board member. Currently served the last two years as North State Cue President.
• Assistive Technology - Tailor educational and develop innovated classroom techniques for designated students with diverse learning styles, disabilities, strengths and weaknesses.
• At Home Teaching - Tailor educational and classroom goals for students learning at home while undergoing medical challenges. Develop innovative lesson plans and practical application exercises for a successful home learning environment.

Campus Technology

• Developed and maintain a thorough, complete and updated hardware and software inventory for all campus technology.
• Maintenance, Work Orders and Requests Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and if possible repair campus technology to allow for uninterrupted use.
• Project Technology Hardware and Software Needs. Working with vendors and and within budget guidelines identify and replace hardware and software that is aging out and must be replaced.

In 2014 I was honored to receive the J. Russell Kent Award from the San Mateo County School Board for my Pencil Box News program. This award is given to innovative and outstanding classroom programs. Pencil Box News is a video production class that provides students with the opportunity to learn what it takes to produce a news broadcast, Students learn how to gather and verify news stories, write news articles for broadcast, direct, video, and broadcast. Students get the feel of a real sound station as they sit in front of a green screen, with microphones, lighting, scrolling cue cards and cameras.
