Throughout the years on the Fire Department I have maintained my training and skills learned from the academy and from each of my officers along the way. I was assigned to perform the duties as fire operations dispatcher with just three years on the job, that prepared me for the next step of becoming an officer myself. Now having been an officer for four years, I have found myself, ready to take the next step to Captain.

• January 2010 until October 2014 served in the MA National Guard as a Combat Medic
• 2011 - Command directed as an E5 Sergeant to deploy as the senior medic for a SAPPER company to conduct Route Clearance. IED detection and removal
• Promoted to the rank of E6 - Staff Sergeant until Honorable Discharge
• As a senior medic had several junior medics under my command that assisted in the care of up to 100 soldiers in our company while deployed to Afghanistan

• I was in the Marine Corps Reserve from June 2000 until October of 2008
• Anti Armour Assaultman and explosives technician
• Javelin Missile Systems certified - Operator and Instructor
• While in the Marines I was tasked as a section leader in the infantry, in charge of up to 15 marines at a time
• Obtained the rank of E5 - Sergeant until Honorable Discharge

• Correctional officer charged with the care and custody of up to 70 inmates in a unit at a time
• Assigned to transportation for a rotation, transporting inmates to and from court and other county facilities

Supervised inmate activities to maintain safety and order within facility.

Conducted regular inspections of premises to ensure compliance with security protocols.

Administered first aid and responded to emergencies in high-pressure situations.
