Currently, I am a doctoral student in Organizational Change and Leadership in Education, who is expected to defend my dissertation in March 2026.

City Administrator

City of Tullahoma
  • Operates as the Chief Executive Officer for a community of over 22,000 residents and reports to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. The city consists of thirteen separate departments and in excess of 225 employees. Responsibilities include daily oversight of all city operations, management of financial resources, establishment of protocols, and creation of public policy for board approval.
  • Hired new department heads, including Police Chief, Director of Planning and Development, Human Resource Officer, and Director of Safety and Codes Compliance
  • Restructure of the Finance and City Recorder departments to properly align roles and responsibilities and streamline the collection of property taxes and other fiscal assessments
  • Acceptance of a Tax Increment Financing project through multi-faceted approval from local, county, and regional governing bodies that will create over $100 M in tax revenue over the next twenty years, nine hundred housing units, and 100K square feet in retail development
  • Implementation of a technology platform to manage all human resource functions including online reporting for employee reporting
  • Creation of a Community Engagement Officer position to coordinate city communications and establish stronger relationships with the community, public, and private organizations

Principal

Tullahoma High School
  • Successfully led the school through the COVID pandemic by implementing safety protocols while minimizing the loss of learning. Virtual templates and communication standards helped students stay up to date and perform well on end-of-course exams.
  • Created a new building administration team to identify areas of focus needed to restore THS to its previous standards of academic excellence and foster stronger relationships with the expanding, diverse student population.
  • Added key faculty members to address gaps in learning as shown in state testing data.
  • Created two new CTE programs that have become stellar in year two: Aviation and Broadcast Media.
  • Recruited TN Aviation Hall of Fame educator who birthed similar programs in Chicago and Huntsville.
  • Equipped learning lab with ten flight simulators and one advanced simulator donated by the University of Tennessee Space Institute.
  • Four scholarship winners for the annual Reno Air Show.

  • Introduction of teacher-student relationship program named PAWS (Pathways to Achieving Wildcat Success) centered on special interests and academic enrichment.
  • Creation of a community-wide event named T-Town for Friday night home football games. The event is held in a grove across from the stadium and includes school-provided tailgate tents, food trucks, music, and contests.
  • Established Department Chair panel to advise and provide guidance on all school matters.
  • Led school-wide rebranding project to create one look for the entire school after the school had lost its singular identity.
  • A high school with 1,200 students located in southern Middle Tennessee. Tullahoma High School is recognized as the leading and preferred secondary institution in academics, fine arts, athletics, and other extracurricular activities within a five-county region, as evidenced by over 200 out-of-zone students in its student body.

  • Split time equally as an Assistant Principal at both schools during the 2019-20 school year. Duties include creating a culture of learning and discipline for all stakeholders, Building Test Coordinator for Pivot and ACAP testing, Facility maintenance and repairs, Substitute teacher program facilitator.

Fine Arts Director

Athens City Schools
  • Responsible for the delivery of a 'best in show' system-wide Fine Arts program that is both collaborative and cross-curricular for all eight schools in the system.
  • Provide support and advocacy for all programs, including music, choral, dance, color guard, visual art, etc.
  • Oversight of the AHS Golden Eagle Marching Band Program.
  • Creation of a five-year strategic plan to position the ACS Fine Arts as pre-eminent in North Alabama.

  • Provide knowledge, guidance, and support for the creation of interim and permanent campus facilities, capital needs, faculty and staff planning, support resources, etc., for the student population of three hundred students.
  • Assist in the creation of a unique curriculum that addresses the core academic areas along with cyber and engineering content. Create experiential learning opportunities between students and stakeholder organizations.
  • Development of fundraising strategy documents to prepare for upcoming capital campaign to raise funds for campus development, including identification of funding sources, campaign goals, case statement, donor identification plans, marketing communications, event planning, and committee organizations.
  • Serve as Foundation representative in discussions, solicitation of proposals, and negotiations with local and national vendors for marketing and communication needs for web development, customer relationship management, campaign support, and media platform selection.
  • An independent residential magnet school that will provide academically motivated and gifted students (7-12) with educational opportunities and experiences in the rapidly growing field of Cyber technology and engineering began in August 2020.

  • Responsible for management, oversight, and day-to-day operations, including resident care and safety, staff, marketing and public relations, fundraising, and physical plant and grounds.
  • Creation and implementation of BOOST (Broadening Our Opportunities to Succeed Through Tutoring) tutoring program in partnership with the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and Alabama A&M students, resulting in dramatic student academic gains in Semester 2 v. Semester 1.
  • Created relationships with United Way, Community Foundation of Huntsville, State Department of Human Resources, YMCA, and other organizations to benefit the mission of HHC and residents.
  • Created an in-kind donation program for dormitory remodeling with national companies My Pillow, PPG Industries, Mattress Firm, and Lee Company. Over $50K in donated items to date.
  • Total reconstruction of Medicaid charge capture and billing process, resulting in both operational savings and increased revenue of over 28%.
  • Realized over $95,000 in corporate donor contributions in the first four months.
  • The statewide foster group home for teenagers was founded in 1954. HHC is nationally recognized for serving thousands of teens in education, therapeutic needs, and post-secondary preparation.

  • Developed a curriculum, based on Tennessee state standards, that allowed students to become more engaged and to use computer applications to form and build their own company; very well received by students and administration.

  • Responsible for the overall performance of thirteen clinical locations, thirty-three physicians, and a staff of over one hundred employees. Responsibilities included management of $4.1MM budget, physician recruitment, and clinic acquisitions.
  • Completed acquisition phase on three recruited clinics, including valuation, operational assessment, and legal contracting within six months from start date. Clinics are fully integrated into the CHS system.
  • Successfully recruited two physician candidates into the Regional Hospital of Jackson. Created clinic start-up protocol and implemented procedures for effective onboarding of new medical staff members.
  • Reduced year-over-year operating expenses by 14% through vendor consolidation and negotiating favored customer pricing rates.
  • Successfully consolidated three clinics into one operation to streamline operating efficiencies and control cost of delivery.
  • Created an MSO from the current employee base to separate clinical from business office functions; enhanced net revenue totals while maximizing POS collections.
