- The main responsibilities for this job include dismounting old tires, rebuilding tire pressure monitoring sensors using specified rebuild kits, mounting new tires onto rims, then airing them to the right pressure, balancing out tires to ensure a smooth ride and even wear, bolting tires and wheels back onto the vehicle, and torquing them to the correct torque spec for said vehicle. This job also includes flat repairs and vibration checks. Since starting this job in January 2024, I have moved positions from Tire Tech to Crew Chief to now Coordinator. I've learned how to read and review work orders, pull parts, repair machines used for service, and perform tasks to satisfy customer needs.
