Duties, accomplishments, and related skills Works under the supervision of the Director of Morale Welfare and Recreation program manager who provides general instructions, standard procedures and policies, and relies on incumbent to control work assignments of other members of the recycling activity. Serves as work leader of the outdoor recycling activities exercising full responsibility over work operations. Plans use of resources such as but not limited to workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a day-to-day, week-to-week or month-to-month basis. Provides my leave schedule, determines new or recurring training needs, reviews work performance, and recommends changes/updates as needed.
Performs a sequence of tasks that require attention to work operations. Examines food on tray in route from kitchen to verify completeness and accuracy of order. Prepares kitchen for sanitation process. Break down and cleans equipment assigned to food preparation area plus ceilings and walls. Stocks products in storage area and in walk-in coolers. Experience in Identifying the recycle material during the sorting process in accordance with general instructions and standard procedures and policies of the recycle operation. Daily routine in Moving, loading, unloading, transferring, transporting, stacking and unstacking recycle material, other goods, boxes, crates, and equipment used by or in support of the recycle operations. Properly loading the cargo assuring that it is secure and protected from becoming a hazard or causing material that would litter the post grounds or roadways Applies packing methods and techniques for transporting chemicals/hazardous materials. Performs a full range of functions in defense dining primary preparation area for distribution to satellite cafeterias at New Cumberland and Mechanicsburg locations. Receives, stores, and assembles food items for main or secondary issue points and distribution, a variety of single and bulk supplies, materials, equipment and commodities. Receives, unloads and processes incoming orders. Checks accompanying documentation against container or packing labels. Follows established procedures in reporting over, short, or damaged items. Issues parts and common hardware items to customers; provides assistance in analyzing the workers' requirements and suggests possible substitutions. Checks returned items for damage and to ascertain maintenance requirements. Performs minor repair on tools as necessary. Receives incoming stock; checks names, quantities, and condition of items against receiving documents; and places in proper locations. Conducts inventories to determine items requiring replenishment; makes determinations to either retain present levels or to delete. Prepares and submits production reports on all work accomplished and backlogged. Processes and issues material in appropriate inventory management system.
Monitors sign-in sheet to record activity and customer visits. Organizes tools, equipment and assists customers. Installs, adjusts and sets automotive systems in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and tests the completed product. Determines whether parts should be cleaned or replaced.
