Contract Construction Inspector Course (2 weeks) Completed July 2018 - Knowledge and skills needed to monitor construction contracts for installation, maintenance, repair, and modification of facilities. Training includes guidance on standards of conduct, contract documents, documentation of construction activities, constructability reviews, pre-performance conferences, government-furnished property, material submittals, progress documents, warranties and guarantees, surveillance and acceptance procedures, basic inspection requirements for safety and environmental compliance and construction materials and methods and blueprint reading. Emphasizes administrative duties and inspection practices.
Construction Surveying Course (2 weeks) Completed April 2011 - Provides training and refresher training in surveying computations and operations. Includes horizontal control, vertical control, topography, grade stakes and instrument adjustment. The major units of instruction include Survey Introduction, Reconnaissance, Vertical Control, Horizontal Control, Topography, Road Design & Layout, Building Layout, and Utility Layout. This course utilizes optical, automated and Global Positioning System surveying equipment. Students will collect, convert, and present field survey data for civil projects utilizing Trimble Business Center (TBC) software.
