Vinfast (NASDAQ VFS) - Advised the CEO to create a more effective retail footprint in the US. Assisted with raising private capital through a Convertible Note. Reviewed the corporate structure of the organization and suggested an effective way forward to minimize costs and increase efficiency.
Expansion - Identified the next growth run for the company in Mexico, South America, India, Asia, and Eastern Europe. Struck joint venture deals and franchise partnerships in some of these geographies to enhance growth and profitability for the company. Onboarded all the partners and assisted them with real estate negotiations of locations within their territories. All partners were profitable at the end of each year, with South America leading to new EBITDA contribution highs.
Real Estate - Led the Real Estate team in the US and worldwide to have an effective rent of 13% in the portfolio. Negotiated with the executives of all key, strategic landlords within the US and worldwide. Deployed brokers in Europe and Canada to exit non-performing assets and managed relationships. Re-optimized the old, legacy big box footprint and made it more effective and profitable.

Supply Chain Controller - Responsible for monitoring inventory in all locations within the US. Managed the interactive inventory management system for the company to ensure all stores were receiving the right merchandise, and seasonality pushes were managed correctly. Set up reporting for executives to act on new product buys by region to enhance sales. Mark down cost on an annual basis saw improvement, closing inventory reduced, and comp sales increased each year during the tenure of my role. Worked very closely with the Head of Merchandising.
Financial Modelling and Analysis. Daily sales reporting for the company and creation of weekly sales targets. Month-end financial reporting and analysis. Worked very closely with the CFO, preparing the earnings Fact Book that had all the data for the quarter that executives used to communicate to Wall Street. Created various ad hoc analyses on traffic patterns, conversion by store types, spending patterns, etc. to communicate with the district teams. Worked on software such as SAP, Essbase, and CDW.
Inventory Accounting and Merchandise Analysis - Developed databases to calculate the weekly shrink the company was incurring and reported back to the CFO. Created a top seller list and tracked inventories by store to ensure enough supply existed to meet demand in the short term and recurring annual flow of sales.
Regular Monthly Warehouse Inventories - Traveled to Warehouse locations throughout the country to assist with the cycle counts.
Store Retail Metric Performance - Set up and communicated the weekly KPIs to store staff. Sales, Traffic, Conversion, Ads, and Markdowns.
