I worked as a clinical research associate in Dept. of Family Medicine at University of Pennsylvania. I was working on AMOR-IPAT(Active Management of Risk In Pregnancy at Term) working group project. This project involved obstetrics scoring and then optimal timing of labor including induction at term if not delivered by own in high risk patients. We collected data on 2400 patients including prenatal, Peripartum and postpartum care and compared outcome and complications between patients who underwent delivery at term by induction vs. those managed by traditional method .Our preliminary data showed better outcome and lesser complications with induction at term vs. traditional method of delivery. I was listed as an author on several manuscripts as we submitted our work as a part of AMOR-IPAT working group.

  • Jinnah Hospital is a tertiary care hospital affiliated with Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore. It is 1400 bed hospital equipped with all the modern diagnostic and medical care facilities. Jinnah Hospital is a unique hospital to have a hundred bed emergency units in Pakistan. I was responsible for taking care of my patients in outpatient Internal medicine clinic and on the floors. My work included history taking, performing physical examination and preliminary investigations, start initial management and then presenting the cases to my attending for further evaluation and treatment. My internship and training also includes mandatory rotations in Diabetic Clinic and Medical ICU.
