  • Work with Farm Bill related programs such as CRP, EQIP, and CSP. Aid in these programs by providing hands on assistance writing plans, as well as technical assistance. Private landowner assistance and outreach by designing wildlife habitat plans in order to help achieve the landowners goals. Education and outreach events to the general public.

  • Worked for USACE at Wilson Lake, KS for 18 months. Primary focus of Recreation fee programs and collection in campgrounds and at boat ramps. Enforcement of state and local laws and regulations. Public safety outreach and enforcement. First responder to accidents. First aid, CPR, and AED training and certified. Flood risk management and exercises. Natural resource management, such as planting food plots, removal of invasive species, prescribed burning, tree trimming and cutting, management of native plant and grass species, etc.

  • Work independently for the summers mainly and with my bosses during the winter. Post WIHA in the 9 northwest counties in Kansas, ride ATV and pulling trailers behind the work truck every day. Some fish habitat work as well as mule deer spot light surveys, aerial pronghorn surveys, telemetry for prairie chickens, banding doves, taking CWD samples from deer and elk, mowing on riding mowers, and brush hogs on the tractor, a ton of chainsaw use mainly cutting down cedars and honey locust, planting shrubs, prescribed burn work, seine netting for shad larvae, etc.
