  • Received Navy Sea Service ribbon (June 2023): Forward deployed throughout the Indo- Asia- Pacific region (Nov 2022- June 2023). Conducted missions and humanitarian work in various countries including Thailand, South Korea, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia and Guam.
  • Received Navy and Marine Cops Achievement Medal (April 2024): Professional achievement as deck supervisor on board DDG 54 (July2023- April 2024). Successfully conducted over 90 missions, Completed over 469 hours of maintenance, and Inspected 390 pieces of aviation equipment successfully qualifying the ship. Aided in 7 hour emergency operation to safely bring aboard two mariners who's boat crashed.
  • Received Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (June 2023): Professional achievement while serving as deck safety officer. Safely transported 146 Marine vehicles and 453 personnel during 23 ship to shore transits. Successfully trained and qualified 11 sailors enhancing overall mission readiness.
  • Received Meritorious Mast Letter from Commanding Officer Echo Company, 2nd Battalion Marines (May 2023): Exceptional performance while serving as a student during the Marine Corps martial arts program. Martinez set himself apart from his peers by becoming the class Rambo graduate. Additional Information

I spend a lot of my time doing Jiu Jutsu, Running and working out. I also enjoy reading books mostly nonfiction phycology or memoirs. I am also certified as a Open water, Nitrox, Advanced, and Rescue Scuba Diver. I am currently working on my application to hopefully go to University of Tokyo for Marine Biology. I have always enjoyed teaching and helping people to become the best version of themselves. My goal in life is to experience as much as I can by traveling and keeping an open mind to learn more about different peoples and cultures.
