Respond to emergency calls including structural fires, vehicle accidents, and medical emergencies.

• Operate and maintain firefighting apparatus including hoses, ladders, pumps, and rescue tools.

• Assist in fire suppression, ventilation, salvage, and overhaul operations.

• Provide initial medical care including CPR and first aid until EMS arrival.

• Participate in routine training exercises, drills, and continuing education to maintain readiness.

• Conduct daily equipment and apparatus checks to ensure operational readiness.

• Assist with public education events and community outreach for fire safety awareness.

• Maintain clean and organized station environment; restock and service equipment after calls.

• Fire suppression/ management/control working on hand crew.
• Perform wildland fire and prescribed fire duties including suppression, preparation, ignition.
• Mop up, digging and raking burned landscapes to look for any hotspots left smoldering.
• Perform engine operations duties including running the pump, deploying hoselines, completing preventative engine maintenance checks.
• Apply knowledge of fuels, terrain, weather, and fire behavior to decisions and actions.
• Use Incident Command System (ICS) terminology, organization, and command structure.
• Ensure proper refurbishing and resupply of tools, vehicles, food, water and supplies.
• Hours worked throughout week: 110
• On duty for 3 weeks on straight.
