- Peninsula Plastic Recycling.
- Doing a daily log check from the night shift and repairing any and all equipment, electrical or mechanical, including PLCs, VFDs, and motors. Also, checking all MCC rooms to make sure all buckets are functioning correctly, and checking PLCs for any faults. If any faults occurred, proceed to reprogram and restart the PLC to ensure proper function. CAT 5 was pulled if needed due to wire damage or worn cable, making sure communication was getting to the VFD from the PLC, also using the touch screen for auto start or hand start, and troubleshooting from the VFD to the 3-phase motors. If any motors were not functioning properly, a meg test was done to measure the resistance of the motor and cables to detect potential faults. If the meg test came back with high resistance, it indicates a good motor; if low levels were read, the motor was replaced. All together, doing PMs on a daily basis to ensure electrical, mechanical, VFD, and PLC were in working condition, also checking 120V-240V single-phase panels for lighting and receptacles, running EMT for new plug locations or new lighting, and also pulling new wire runs for new locations. At the end of the shift, I completed a daily PM log for the second shift and also informed the second shift of the work orders that required maintenance.
