  • The Rail Transportation Engineering (RTE) program at Penn State Altoona highlights the many opportunities to expose students to various aspects of the railroad industry, including Class I railroads, shortlines, and numerous railroad suppliers.
  • Hands-on experience ranging from academically stimulating undergraduate research, projects, and networking opportunities with industry leaders. We also learned about focuses on the track and subgrade dynamic behavior under different speed conditions, which is critical for the train's speed.
