Coast Guard Routine Rocket Launch Support Posture Investigation

  • Independently conducted and produced a Coast Guard support posture investigation for routine rocket launches. This report was utilized by Coast Guard District 7, Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville, Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Port Canaveral, and Coast Guard Headquarters during the Coast Guard's support posture realignment in rocket launch support from Cape Canaveral. Gathered, cleaned, and modeled data to perform data techniques such as linear regression to show relationships between features. Thes metrics produced shaped the Coast Guard's business model for rocket launch support. Engaged in high level conversations to present the findings and affect organizational policy.

Coast Guard Workstation Recapitalization Investigation

  • Lead an exploratory data project that investigated how shorter recapitalization frequency of computer hardware will impact help desk ticket demand for Coast Guard workstations. Performed numerous techniques including crosstab analysis, statistical learning approaches, and applied machine learning methods to train and test data sets. Ultimately provided the Coast Guard help center with a data collection method that would allow for a future implementation of a workstation recycling program aiming to reduce the amount of help tickets submitted and optimize the lifespan of Coast Guard workstations.
