I began my career as a Hairstylist in January of 1989. For the 1st 2 years I studied with some of the best stylist in Austin. I then went into a self employed mode of operating. For the last 32 years I have been self employed. I have done driving for Uber and Lyft for 5 years as a secondary income. During the mandatory shutdown of nonessential businesses I was fortunate to have rideshare income, and the pandemic was brutal to my Hairstyling career. I lost nearly half my clients in the aftermath. In the last few years I have done both jobs and been fortunate to consider these years to be somewhat of a success! I never intended to have to do rideshare at the level I have been doing so these last few years, and I'm hoping to find a new career path. I will likely continue to do hairstyling part time for a select group of treasured clients.
Experienced with handling customer interactions and resolving issues promptly. Utilizes communication and empathy to build strong customer relationships. Track record of maintaining high customer satisfaction and fostering loyalty. My ultimate goal as of recently has been to work in a Government job setting. I have had several discussions with people who work for FEMA or know people who work there. A job with FEMA is my ultimate goal, and I realize I will need training and will be at an entry level position. I'm a type of person who gets the job done, and does it right. I'm very motivated, and am a quick learner.
