I’m looking for something more fast paced but well organized. A place where it’s easy to work as a team while utilizing my skills.
Currently nanny for a few different families, the job includes picking them up from school. Making them snacks/ keeping company while parents are working. The younger ages, usually help feed them, change diapers, put them down for naps, play with them, take them out for walks, and make sure they are in a safe environment.
Main goal was to upsell products to walk in customers, take phone calls, while packing online orders, and checking customers out
Durning the day shift put all the clothes back into its designated spots, all employees would switch out to register throughout the time being there. You would check out customers and pick up around the racks near the stand to keep the areas clean.
As people walked in grab silverware and show them to the next section in rotation, then kindly let them know the server will be right with them. If the table was yours, ask for a drink order then go get the drink. Once they were ready to order put in it for the kitchen and walk it out as it came through the window. Once the guest were done ask for any desserts and prepare it for them. Once they leave take all the dishes and wipe the tables. At the end of the night thoroughly clean your section for the morning crew.
As a host you would take every phone call. Prepare tables for reservations, seat walking in guest for servers to take care of. As tables got finished with meals go around collect all the dishes, take them back to the dishwasher. After wipe tables and continue to make sure floors were clean. If servers were backed up with tables your job was to step up and run food to keep the floor flowing.
Serving duties, welcome in guest tell them about our new deals for specific weekdays. Get drink/ food order when ready then send it off to the kitchen to get prepared. Walk food to your tables and check on them to make sure nothing was needed. At the end of your shift you would wipe all your tables and vacuum underneath them to keep the restaurant clean.
Stood at the host stand welcoming everyone in, picked a designated seat and walked the customers back. After seating them immediately grabbed waters in case the server was busy. Host would trade off duties like taking to-go orders over the phone/ placing them into the system for the kitchen to prepare. After the food was cooked grab condiments and placed them all into the bag. If servers had dirty tables while host weren’t occupied they would prepare for the next guest. Doing so by taking plates back and wiping tables down. Sometimes sweep if needed.
Prepared breakfast on weekend mornings for staying guests, durning eating hours consistently made sure food was full. After customers finished made sure dishes were done, food was put away properly, wiped down counter space, and mopped the floor. During the weekday, cleaned rooms. That consist of changing sheets, dusting down the whole room, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, mopping, and making the bed with fresh sheets.
Stood at the front welcoming in guest, showed them to their seats for server in rotation. Occasionally answered phone calls if other employees were busy. As parties would finish up I’d go around grabbing dishes/ wiping down tables for new customers to arrive.
