16 bed Multisystem ICU

• Provide care for critically ill adult patients managing complex medical, neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, and vascular conditions.
• Care for patients experiencing respiratory failure, sepsis, septic shock, hypovolemic shock, cardiogenic shock, distributive shock, acute ischemic stroke, STEMI, and multi-organ dysfunction syndrome.
• Manage mechanically ventilated and intubated patients requiring advanced respiratory support and continuous physiologic monitoring.
• Perform comprehensive critical care assessments and rapidly identify changes in patient condition to facilitate timely intervention and escalation of care.
• Monitor invasive hemodynamics utilizing arterial lines and interpret clinical data to support management of hemodynamically unstable patients.
• Administer and titrate vasoactive medications, vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, and other critical care infusions to maintain hemodynamic stability and optimize patient outcomes.
• Care for patients with multiple chronic comorbidities requiring complex, multidisciplinary management and individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with intensivists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and specialty teams to coordinate evidence-based care for critically ill patients.
• Participate in emergency stabilization, rapid response situations, and management of acute clinical deterioration in a high-acuity environment.

Level I Trauma Center

• Managed patients requiring mechanical ventilation, tracheostomy care, arterial line monitoring, lumbar drains, chest tubes, and titratable infusions.
• Delivered postoperative care for patients following craniotomy, craniectomy, brain tumor resection, and complex spinal surgeries.
• Performed frequent neurological assessments and early recognition of patient deterioration in conditions including acute stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and Guillain-Barré syndrome.
• Participated in stroke alerts and rapid response activations, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
