Completed approximately 120 clinical hours at Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center with expanded responsibility in medical-surgical nursing care, including interpretation of laboratory values, monitoring IV therapy, assisting with wound care, Foley catheter care, oxygen therapy, patient education, and participation in interdisciplinary communication.
Psychiatric Nursing Rotation:
Completed approximately 90 clinical hours in psychiatric nursing rotation with focus on therapeutic communication, mental status assessment, patient safety, behavioral observation, psychosocial support, and development of communication skills in mental health care settings.
Semester 3 Clinical Rotation:
Completed approximately 162 clinical hours at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center caring for higher acuity patients in progressive care and acute care settings, including complex head-to-toe assessments, medication administration, telemetry monitoring, interpretation of abnormal laboratory values, wound assessment, NG tube care, Foley care, oxygen therapy, discharge teaching, and prioritization of nursing interventions for medically complex patients.
Volunteered in the emergency department at Kaiser Permanente, supporting staff with patient flow, observing interdisciplinary teamwork, assisting with non-clinical patient needs, and gaining exposure to the fast-paced emergency care environment.
