Work History
Sales Associate
2nd Street
Harvard Square, Cambridge
08.2025 - 11.2025
This is my most recent job. One of my close friends used to manage one of these stores ( A Brooklyn New York Location ) and he recommended me to work here since he knows I'm passionate about high fashion luxury clothes. 2nd Street is basically a second hand buy & sell thrift / designer store. I was very excited to work here because I've known about this store since like 2022, but there were never any Boston locations. As a sales associate I would help customers shop by answering questions, organize merchandise, and maintain a clean, welcoming store environment. I would often explain the resale process to customers and how the buying and selling works. I would also often translate for Spanish speaking people who visited the store because I speak All of my coworkers I had during this job were very cool, but ever since I was hired until I ended up quitting there were management issues. About 2 weeks after I got hired and got to know the whole team, all the managers, key holders, etc just ended up leaving and going to other jobs because of their own issues with the company. Due to this, there was never stable management, and managers from other stores would frequently get sent to our store to help out. This caused constant readjusting, not only for the associates, but for the whole store, because each new manager that came had a different way of running things. Some stricter than others, some more lenient, it just wasnt serious. Outside of all that I enjoyed working there.
Host, Food Runner, & Busser
Scopa
Lynn
08.2024 - 12.2024
This job got me out of my comfort zone the most, I had to wear formal clothing too which made me uncomfortable at first but I got used to it. The whole kitchen only spoke Spanish, and I speak fluent Spanish but it was still uncomfortable for me but it definitely helped me. Taking on multiple roles as a Host, Food Runner, and Busser at Scopa involved ensuring smooth service flow and customer satisfaction. Depending on the day I was either greeting guests, managing reservations, or assisting in serving food promptly. This dynamic role required adaptability and strong multitasking abilities to meet customer needs effectively. Collaboration with kitchen staff was crucial to ensure timely delivery of meals. I would say that this job made me even more comfortable at talking to people and greeting people. When it got busy it was really stressful but at the end of the day we made it happen. I had to answer the phone a lot because a lot of people would call in for reservations and pick ups etc.
Supported servers, food runners, and bussers with keeping dining area ready for every guest.
Developed excellent relationships with managers and fellow team members to support team success and positive work environment.
Amazon XL Warehouse Associate
Amazon
Chelsea
09.2023 - 02.2024
I got this job the summer after I graduated. This was an overnight job, and my shifts were 3am - 9am. Basically warehouse operations were managing inventory, and helping stow items before their departure. The XL title in the job meant dealing with heavy items over 50+ pounds and loading the amazon trucks. Effective communication and collaboration with other departments were crucial in maintaining operational flow. The pay would vary from 21 - 24 dollars an hour but the overnight shift was taking its toll on me and lifting the heavy items was also so I quit.
Performed inventory control, such as counting, and stocking merchandise.
Used machinery and equipment such as box cutters, shrink-wrap guns and electric pallet jacks.
Used handheld scanners to efficiently track and maneuver freight throughout distribution network.
