Jayden Cherry

I am a determined student wanting to learn more about invasive species management and land stewardship. I have worked with Metroparks Toledo helping to maintain park grounds. I have taken 100+ hours of courses from the University of Toledo. With my environmental science background and experience working with a park system I hope to learn more about invasive species management and land stewardship.

• Assisted in litter cleanup of Ottawa River, while surveying collected trash

Metroparks Toledo

• Tree Mortality Assessments- Surveying trees at Howard Marsh Metropark and assessing their health
• Native Species Planting- Planting various native plants at Glass City Metropark and Secor Metropark
• Bioswale Maintenance at Middlegrounds Metropark

I helped develop and write a proposal for a rain garden renovation with the University of Toledo Student Green Fund. Conducted research writing and presenting for Literature and Communications course.

Developed model to represent data using Microsoft Excel. Completed various projects using QGIS to map rainfall in the Toledo area.
