Jayden Johnson

Hello, my name is Jayden Johnson. I am 17 years of age, and currently attend Princeton Senior High School in pursuit for either a band or entrepreneurship scholarship. A little bit about me is that I’ve always been a very hardworking person and enjoyed music all of my life, hence why I’m in band currently. 6 years, going on 7, I’ve stayed consistent and dedicated to the works of an instrument and the efforts required into mastering one. I also play the french horn, which is a very difficult instrument, itself. I’ve also collaborated with many people (whether it be with someone who plays a different instrument than me, or the same) in ensembles and full bands to perform pieces at a high level. I’ve demonstrated communication within parts of music and teamwork so everyone around me has an understanding on how their part should sound when put together, and what we can do individually, so when as a group, we sound better, and so we’re not slacking off. My achievement inside of band starts with making All-Region band as an alternative, (which means I play for whoever is out for the day) which is a very high level band with only a select few people from every section of instruments playing a difficult piece of music. I hold this above every other achievement I’ve ever had in my entire life because it proves to me that I can do better and be a more refined version of myself, regardless of what others tell me.
