Some bacteria die when others take antibiotics as prescribed, but antibiotic-resistant bacteria can live and even multiply in their presence. The more antibiotics humans use, the more likely bacteria become resistant to them over time. This project aims to isolate bacterial species capable of producing new antibiotics.
