I believe education should prepare students not only for academic success, but also for independence and life beyond school. As a special education teacher, I focus on developing individualized, goal-driven instruction that supports both academic growth and functional life skills.
In my classroom, I prioritize structure, consistency, and clear expectations, while using data, visual supports, and differentiated strategies to meet each student’s unique needs. I am committed to helping students build self-advocacy, problem-solving, and transition skills that will support them in post-secondary settings, employment, and daily life. Collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams is essential to creating meaningful and lasting outcomes for students.
