I am a dedicated student who has a strong background in volunteer work, collaboration, and problem-solving. And am also experienced in supporting and mentoring the community, and the people around me.
In my senior year of high school i created and used my senior project to help veterans, people who suffer with the loss of a loved one, or PTSD. I created an event that had lots of fun games, free food, activities, local organizations, and a community for all ages. All the proceeds made, were donated to local organizations who helped and specialized in those fields.
I've contributed behind the scenes of my high school, and other local community theaters. It requires long hours of preparation, teamwork, and problem-solving to support the success of the school and community performances.
With all the different ensembles i have been in, i've been helping and give back to the community by preforming in parades, steel gigs, jazz outreaches, or public events. Most of these performances support local organizations, fundraisers, and public gatherings.
For the past couple years i've been helping teach and mentor younger kids in Jiujitsu and softball. It has allowed me to mentor and develop their skills while also fostering teamwork.
I helped volunteer at local middle and elementary schools for field days, orientations, santa shops, Halloween parties, and other events. I also volunteered at community events such as turtle races, ticket sales, fairs, shops, and other sanctioned events. Through the club i also help and participate in fundraisers inside and outside the school that support local causes.
During my time in NHS, i also helped tutor and help some of the other students in the school. During this i fostered a positive learning environment that encouraged students participation and confidence, assisted fellow students in achieving academic goals through targeted support and feedback, i had to collaborate with parents and educators, and supported students with helpful study habits and exam strategies.
