• Jayma (Mills) 'Superlove' (stage name) is a Professional Performing Artist- Pianist, Vocalist and a versatile Woodwind Doubler (saxophone, clarinet, flute). She is a Composer and Producer. A lady who wears many hats, she is also a Music Educator, Clinician, Consultant, A&R Executive, Events Coordinator, Sound/Light Technician & Engineer, Industry Analyst, Band Integrator, Music 'Therapist-Minister', Inventor and Activist. Ms. Superlove is the Founder and CEO of the Rxsounik.gronk.Substratum, an Independent Record Label and a collaboration of Professional Performing Artist, Scientists, Healing Practitioners, Metaphysician's, Eco-Green Conscious forerunners and a conglomerate of cutting edge researchers in the field of music physics and music philosophy. The focus of the Rxsounik.gronk.Substratum is to provide a repository, a platform or congregational sphere for visionaries pioneering new understandings within the context of music Philosophy, Physics, Aesthetics and Spiritual Studies; interpolating the intrinsic connections among these four topics of inquiry. The Rxsounik.gronk.Substratum is also the parent enterprise syndicating and funding several smaller projects it edifies and promotes. These projects include:

A multi talented and faceted musician, Jayma has played in a wide array of performance experience ranging from studio recording projects, wind ensembles, symphony orchestras, jazz big bands, rock bands, funk bands, folk projects, hip-hop groups, chamber choirs, experimental noise projects and a myriad of other radical sonic excursions. She is known and respected for her ability to play point-blank and sit-in with popular bands with no previous knowledge of the material or preparatory rehearsals. Jayma is venerated and known to instigate and organize 'back alley' sessions and throw-down secret shows known as 'gorilla gigs' within underground music scenes. She is also appreciated as a renegade artist in supplying wacky and outrageous art atmospheres for the radical expansion of creative expression and inspiration. As a composer, Ms. Superlove debuted her first five movement jazz symphony at the age of 21; titled, 'Aperiodicity Includes Periodicity'- with a small jazz orchestra at Foundation Hall in Greeley, CO. She credits Igor Stravinsky, Roger Waters and Frank Zappa as her most influential composition 'mentors'. She has composed and recorded dozens of hours of film music and donated any accolades to remain anonymous for several obscure and independent film projects and documentaries. Jayma currently has four full-length LP albums starting with her very experimental 'AceZhip' followed by 'inipi', 'Octagangagoogalee' and 'QuidProQuo'. All releases can be found on www.bandcamp.com. She is currently galvanizing her energy into a 'triple album' -a 'Future Jazz' release, named (((QQQ)))- a massive concept album- with nine, through-composed works. She hopes to debut one of these compositions at the ENT Center for The Performing Arts with the SCIPPS program as a selected electric/acoustic music Fellow, UCCS- Colorado Springs, 2023. She is currently dabbling in art-film production and her latest pre-release and integrated visual/audio composition 'mosQuito' can be found on YouTube. Jayma has invented a new style she has coined as 'Rxsounik'. While difficult to describe this new cutting edge style- the defining factor in Rxsounik is in the use of sub-atomic sound samples. Jayma was granted use of a physics laboratory and partnered with Dr. Dan Milliken at the University of Texas- where they sampled actual sounds of atoms using a magnetic resonance diagnostics/positron emission tomography device invented by Dr. Milliken. This dynamic duo also pioneered a method to display an organisms' bio-energy 'mind field' or vibratory state into a 3D fractal analysis using laser feedback. More information about this aspect of Rxsounik has not been released publicly at this time. The supporting elements of this new style 'Rxsounik' and sonic forms heard at a Superlove Session can be described using stylistic considerations from these genres; Trip-Hip Hop, Psychedelic Soul, Symphonic Song-Story, Atmospheric, Lo-Fi Spectralism, Psychonautic, Broken Beat-Wonky, Obscuro, Naturalismo, IDM, Illbient, Ethereal Wave, Improvisational, Glitch, Free-Future Jazz, Avant Garde Classical, Resonance, Art Music, Break Beat, Progressive-Futurism, Experimental Electronic, Fusion, Middle Eastern Jive, Hindu Kirtan, Afro-Beat, Folky Junk and strait up Funk. As well as collaborating with members of The Parliament Funkadelic, Jayma Superlove has been featured with some prodigious Musicians and Producers and has been recognized for contributions by such labels as NewCocoon Records, Yogarden Inc., and Interscope. In addition to fronting her own performance projects such as The Odd Ensemble, RXGS and Superlove Sessions, she has performed and collaborated with numerous touring bands, including; The Parliament Funkadelic, Left-Over Salmon, The Last Bus, Widespread Panic, Aphrodesia, Mindgoflip, Yellow Wall Dub Squad, The Alcapones, Perfect Pants, Chantil Dukart, Paul Izak and the Seeds of Love, Active8, The Bentos, The Intire Project, Synthe, Family Dinner, Quadrophonics and Moma's Cookin'. Her extended qualifications, awards and recognition reveal such achievements as 'Notation of Outstanding Soloist Award' twice, in Downbeat Magazine, The Title Winner of the 'Angie Southard Convocation Competition', 'Notation of Excellence', three years running- in Instrumentalist Magazine and induction as a US Ambassador of Music- completing a European Tour as representative. She has received dozens of awards at Jazz Festivals, National Competitions and notoriety in Local Independent Newspapers and publications. Jayma has directly studied with notable masters of music, including; Dr. Thomas Massey Principle Clarinetist of The New York Opera and Keith Oxman- Celebrated Jazz Tenor Saxophonist, Composer and Recording Artist. She has attended private masters classes and lessons with Joshua Redman, Michael Brecker, Pancho Sanchez, Arturo Sandoval, Joe Henderson, Dave Leibman, Wynton and Branford Marsalis, Diana Krall and Nancy Schur. Jayma holds a Bachelors Degree with Honors from the University of Northern Colorado in Music Performance, Clarinet as primary instrument with a triple minor in Saxophone, Voice and Jazz Composition. She has recently attended seminars and received private, remote tutelage from Berklee Conservatory of Music, Boston, and SAE-Sound Audio Institute in New York City/Los Angeles.
