As a Biochemistry and Chemistry Laboratory Coordinator, I was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory. My duties included planning and coordinating laboratory activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining laboratory equipment and chemicals. I also played a key role in the preparation and execution of laboratory experiments, assisted in the development of lab procedures, and provided guidance to more than 1,000 students and teaching assistants. My strong understanding of Biochemistry and Chemistry principles, combined with my organizational skills and attention to detail, enabled me to effectively manage the lab and contribute to the successful completion of laboratory experiment projects.
As a Histopathology Technician at Baylor Scott & White Health, I perform microtomy and embed/cut various types of human anatomy tissues, as well as conduct special stains (both manual and automated) to aid in the diagnosis of medical issues. I identify issues, analyze information, and provide solutions to problems. I am a detail-oriented and diligent Certified Medical Laboratory Technician, licensed by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
I am eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. I am motivated to learn, grow, and excel in both individual and team projects. I graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Science with a minor in Business Administration from Tarleton State University, where I developed knowledge and skills in management, communication, and problem-solving.
In the grand symphony of life science, I played the role of the Biochemistry/Chemistry Laboratory Maestro, orchestrating the rhythm and harmony of the lab's daily operations. With a baton of meticulous planning and coordination, I conducted the ensemble of laboratory activities, ensuring each note of safety protocol was hit and every piece of laboratory equipment was finely tuned. My stage was the preparation and execution of laboratory experiments, where I composed lab procedures and guided students in their solos. My understanding of Biochemistry and Chemistry was the sheet music that guided my performance, while my organizational skills and attention to detail were the steady tempo that kept the laboratory running smoothly. Through this role, I did not just manage a lab- I created a masterpiece of efficiency, safety, and learning environment for students to learn and nurture their true potential in Biochemistry and Chemistry.
