My name is Jayson Vega and I am 19 years old. I understand that when you look at my resume it might not be the most extensive list of experience you've seen but I don't think that represents me as a worker or my actual experience. To elaborate on what I mean by that I'm going to give you a little background. I'm only 19 and have only had 2 official jobs because I grew up in the Bronx where it's almost impossible to get a job at a young age. But throughout My life I have always worked any off the books job that I could because those were the only types of jobs that would take me. So a few jobs that I've worked are: working on an oil truck delivering oil, I've worked as a mover, I've worked in multiple deli's in the Bronx doing things like stocking or working the register, and as I mentioned I am currently attending Lincoln Technical institute for electrical and electronic systems technician. I've been attending Lincoln Tech for 8 months now and have been doing a bunch of electrical work for people outside of school like family and friends or people who have heard that I do electrical and pay me to help them. I have been working with my hands from a young age as my dad is a diesel mechanic for UPS and an all around handyman, so I've always been working on things such as helping my dad build his basement which entailed framing, electrical, plumbing, insulation, flooring, and putting up drywall. I say all that to say that I may be young and not have that much “official experience” but I work extremely hard and have been working hard since I can remember, I'm a very quick learner and have a lot of hands on experience and have been working hard labor jobs that require you to problem solve and come up with solutions since i was a young kid.
