On the job site, I learned to think critically when a task didn’t go according to plan, a skill directly transferable to caring for a patient with a changing condition. Also, collaborating with different trades (plumber, electricians etc) allowed me to practice good communication and learn new skills frequently. In nursing I can implement these skills to work well within an interdisciplinary team to achieve a common goal.
