Served as a travel EEG Technologist from August to November 2024.

Position of Neurodiagnostic Technologist in a travel role at Avera McKennan Hospital and University from January 2025.

• Performed routine, Ambulatory and Long Term Monitoring EEG's on all patient populations as well as Auditory Visual and Somatosensory Evoked Potentials.
• Review of ambulatory and long term studies, preparing reports for physician interpretation.

• Some intraoperative monitoring when case overload or staffing difficulties, though EEG was my main focus.

• 7/2016-10/2016 University of Kentucky in Lexington
• Worked as nightshift monitoring technologist for the EMU. Monitored 3-4 patients per night, usually having 1-2 patients with grids placed for presurgical documentation and localization.
• 10/2016-3/2017 St Charles Medical Center Bend Oregon
• Two assignments here doing EEG, LTM, clinical evoked potentials and Intraoperative evoked potential and EEG monitoring. Accepted a permanent position with St Charles after completion of 2nd contract.

• Responsible for initial hook-up, recording and monitoring of patients in our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
• Review of ambulatory, routine and long term EEG's, marking possible abnormalities and events during studies, then preparing report for physician review.
• Large pediatric population and challenging patient load.
• Performed pre-operative EMU studies for surgical candidates that would be going to UW.
• Worked with the Institute of Health Sciences to mentor and train multiple students going through their Neurodiagnostic Program.
• Scheduled patients and explained procedure to worried parents.

• Paused EEG career and tried my hand at photography. Serving customers for family, pet and event photography.
• Selling landscape and fine art works at various art shows and festivals. While I enjoyed the relaxed lifestyle this afforded me, I quickly realized that I missed the interaction with my patients and their families, as well as my love of EEG.

• 13 Week Assignment at Innova Fairfax Medical Center
• EEG Technologist responsible for recording EEG on both in and outpatients, as well as Auditory, Visual and Somatosensory Evoked Potentials.
• 26 week Assignment at St Mary's Hospital, Grand Junction Colorado
• Routine and Long Term EEG.
• During my time here I completed writing department policies and testing procedures.

• Responsible for intraoperative monitoring of Neurological, Orthopedic and Cardiovascular function. Cases included brain tumor resections, Spinal cord surgeries, including laminectomies, fusions and instrumentation procedures, with both Neurosurgery and Orthopedic surgeons. We also monitored cerebral blood flow during carotid endarterectomies and AAA's.
• Developed policies and procedures for our Intraoperative program as well as working with anesthesia department to succesfully implement anesthesia protocols used during various intraoperative procedures.
• Registered CNIM #1316 during this time, Registry expired in 2012.
• Performed some EEG's during this period to help in EEG lab when busy or with difficult pediatric patients.

• Responsible for routine and LTM EEG recording.
• We provided telephone transmission EEG for outlying rural hospitals in Tennessee and Virginia. I implemented weekend training sessions to improve these technologists skill in obtaining as accurate a test as possible.
• Epilepsy Monitoring unit started during my employment there.

• -Performed routine and Long Term EEG Monitoring.
• -Grid and Sphenoidal EEG monitoring.
• - Intraoperative Monitoring during both Epilepsy surgery and Spinal Cord surgeries in the pediatric population.
• -ABRET Board examiner for EEG during this time.

• -Performed routine, Ambulatory EEG on adult only patients.
• -Long Term EEG monitoring was started for prolonged daytime procedures during my employment.
• -I worked with Dr W. Brem Mayer and Faye Tyner during this time and soaked up all the EEG I could.
• -Obtained my EEG registry and then assisted in training of students from Faye Tyner's EEG school in North Carolina.
