Awards

HES-SO Bachelor thesis, « Redesign of a bar feeder according the dynamical analysis» of a bar feeder manufacturer. At a glimpse, the bar feeder was a brand new design (low cost) to get interfaced with NC lathe operating up to 5000 rpm. During the very first commissioning it appears the bar feeder was vibrating excessively and generate inaccurate milling. Thereof the chuckle's speed needed to lower by a factor 2. My analysis showed up the bar feeder had two Eigen value into the speed span foreseen. A third Eigen value was too close to operate at an industrial level.
